VE Day Costumes & Accessories
We have the best collection of VE Day Costumes to help you celebrate the 8th May in true 1940s style. Victory in Europe Day, generally known as VE Day, is a day celebrating the end of the Second World War, as it was on this day in 1945, that the act of military surrender was officially signed by the Flensburg Government in Berlin. Upon the defeat of Germany, more than a million people took to the streets in the UK, joined by many more across the world, notably in America and throughout Europe. Crowds massed outside of Buckingham palace to see the King and Queen on the balcony, joined by Sir Winston Churchill, to celebrate the end of World War II. Each year thousands of brits still mark the day with celebrations and parties and donning a VE Day Fancy dress outfit from Us is the perfect way to add some style. This year, 2020, marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day, and the Early May Bank Holiday has been moved to coincide with the 8th of May. With social distancing in-place, there's no better time to pull on your favourite VE Day outfit, and celebrate from the comfort of your homes and gardens. This is not just a day for the adults, we've got outfits for the kids also. So whether your shopping for mens, womens, girls or boys, it's all below. We've grouped everything together into one collection, to make it easier for you. We have Union Jack bunting, flags, paper plates, costumes and more.
